THE RETURN OF THE KING
Wayne Cheong 05 Mar 2012 01:01 PM Mon

There was great rejoicing when Canon finally (FINALLY) announced the launch of the sucessor to the EOS 5D Mark II, the Mark III.
The new model runs on a more powerful image processor, the DIGIC 5+ processor, which is 17 times faster than the DIGIC 4 as one of the newer features of the EOS 5D Mark III. This means superior image and video quality with a greater ISO sensitivity courtesy of the improved 36mm full-frame CMO sensor. Worried about the issue of signal-to-noise? The Mark II has a customizable Auto ISO function, granting more in low-light conditions. Add to that the improved 61-point High Density Reticular AF System for faster tracking and focus, 6 frames-per-second continuous burst mode, an approximate 59 millisecond release time lag, High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode, among others.
All that and more are housed in a 152 x 116,4 x 76.4 mm curved magnesium alloy chassis that provides a comfortable grip for horizonatal and vertical shooting.
Price will be made known at a later date, the EOS 5D Mark III will be available at all authorized Canon dealers at the end of March.
