REVIEW - PLANTRONICS MARQUE M155

Say hello to your little friend! The Marque M155 is a new product from the Plantronics line; a smarter, smaller and more stylish headset that is geared towards the savvy consumer. We'll see if this Bluetooth headset stands up to the test!

First off, it seems the design of the Marque M155 took a nice minimalist turn with only three buttons on the headset. And the optional white version of the device is a welcome change from the usual black line-up of headsets that Plantronics has put out in the past.

There's a lot of emphasis on the hand's free concept. With voice recognition, the Marque M155 allows you to answer or ignore calls simply by saying, well... "answer" or "ignore" respectively. And, don't worry about the earpiece falling out, the eartip keeps the device secured and the weight of it... just made it feel like it wasn't there at all.

When you first turn it on, it walks you through a voice-guided pairing process, making pairing with either your iOS or Android smartphone a snap. You can also check the battery life of your earpiece on your paired smartphone. It's just a shame that when you're outdoors, the noise cancelling feature is found wanting.

But overall, we love it. The earpiece has a lot of things going for it: it sounds great, we got clear A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) streaming; there's a free one-year subscription to Vocalyst, whereby your messages will be read to you, it allows for other voice functions and finally, you can hear how you sound by downloading the companion app, which has the Sound Check feature, available at both the Apple App Store and Android market.

Just don't be in a noisy environment when you use it.
