Good things indeed come in small packages. Case in point, the new MUJI Hut, which is a very special little place that's all your own. The tiny home away from home was designed to fit all sorts of locations, whether it's up in the mountains, near the ocean, or in a garden.
While miniscule in size, the MUJI Hut boasts big features that ensure both style and function. The interiors might be compact, but the construction of the porch and and high shed roof creates a space large enough for three to four people to comfortably relax in. Meanwhile, the large sliding door allows an abundance of light and air to pass through, creating the illusion of space.
The hut's design is kept simple, but the materials make up for it. All of the wood used is from Japan, with the outer walls applied with a burned hardwood finish, and the inner walls left untreated in order for the user to design it any way they like. The floors are kept nice and smooth too, which allows for easy cleaning whether kept plain or adorned with a decorative rug.
The MUJI Hut will be available for purchase in Autumn 2017, but there are no details if it will be available outside of Japan at the moment.
