GIVEAWAY - NOOKA x SBTG

Lifestyle brands don't get any cooler than Nooka. The brainchild of Matthew Waldman, the Nooka name became synonymous with fashion forwardness in an everchanging world and has now found a new home here, at the nail bar and café, Manicurious.

To celebrate the move-in, Nooka has released a limited edition line of Nooka x SBTG products. We directed a few questions at local collaborator, SBTG, about the line.

How did the collaboration with Nooka come about?

MLab Concepts that distributes the brand, introduced us to Nooka. After a phone call and a couple of emails, this collab was born.

Your Nooka-designed watch looks sick. What's the idea behind the design?

Thank you. When I first saw the watch and the way it tells the time, I thought it was a good idea to use elements from the Singapore flag. There were challenges in the manufacturing process but we all worked together and finished it without compromising the integrity of the design.

Do you own a Nooka watch? What was it?

My first Nooka was the sample of my own design: the Zub. 

Are you an adherent to Nooka's philosophy of "designing products that communicate universally"?

I respect brands with a strong philosophy. Having one to fall back on is very essential in life as it gives you strong purpose to make every move. 

Tell us about your NookaNooka vinyl toy.

I designed the toy to project the way we look at life. It has the word 'Nowhere' printed on it, which could be read as "now here" or "no where" hence positive and negative poles of the magnet. In essence, we hold the power to shift the way we look at things.

And the goofy eyes?

That’s just me trying to display my sense of humour.

And what do you know? We have one Nooka x SBTG prize package to give away: an SBTG/Royalefam camouflage print zub zot display and a customised mini NookaNooka vinyl toy. All you have to do answer two questions:
