DUST MUST

DUST MUST

If you're unfortunate as I am, to be endowed with hair so fine and limp that's lost its fight against the humidity in Singapore, you're constantly on the hunt for a good product to add some volume to that mane.

Volumising sprays don't usually cut it, because you'll end up feeling like you've got a helmet on your head, and that sea spray thing? It's all right, but if you play with your hair as much as I do, you'll end up with salt on your hands and limp locks come closing time.

A new range of styling powders have come on the market and this might be our current saviour, till the next better player comes along. Shills, L'Oreal and Schwarzkopf, to name a few, are introducing to the market volumising dusts that you'll just need to place on your palm, rub to activate its tacky superpowers (no pun intended) and scrunch through your hair. The results are perfect for a little lift of volume, or if you're keen, a full-on (god forbid!) Snookie pouf.

The active ingredient in most of these powders is silica silylate, which is used in your foundations to suck up oil and sebum. This, of course, means a nice matte look that keeps you looking super fresh all day.
