ARMY OF ONE

Sometimes the best way to subvert the system isn't a raised fist but rather, spray paint and canvas. Singapore's own urban artist, ANTZ, is part of that charge. Running with the design collective RSCLS, ANTZ has worked with international events and projects like NIKE, Adidas and Tiger Beer. Despite it all, he still returns to communicating his message in a mish-mash of contemporary urban styles sprinkled with traditional chinese visuals and influences. ANTZ's next ouevre is his involvement in FLABSLAB's Fang To Fur exhibition on June 8. We talk to…

THE COUNTERCULTURISTS
Wayne Cheong at 14 Mar 2012 12:51 PM Wed
If you've sauntered by the Singapore Arts Museum recently, a melting caped superhero titled, No One Can Save Us Now, might have caught your eye.

We spoke to them at their rehab surgery/showroom a.k.a. Like That One.

KUNG FU HATS!
Natasha Hong at 12 Dec 2011 11:39 AM Mon
Check it out, this tickled us a little this dreary Monday: Local designer Ashburn Eng from Young & Restless has come up with a new hat that a junkie of Channel 8 period serials will recognise. Pugalistic hats! They're like the hats that used to conceal a femme fatale or an assassin in disguise, except Y&R's version keeps fashion warriors stylishly shaded.
